Welcome to the Plymouth-Canton Community Literacy Council

We are a volunteer, non-profit organization aiming to improve adult literacy in Plymouth-Canton and surrounding areas of Western Wayne County. Our mission is to provide adults in Western Wayne County who have limited English language abilities in developing vital reading, writing, and communication skills to help them participate in the community and reach their potential in life

In 2018, 135 CLC tutors devoted over 9,500 hours to help students:
    •     Get a Job
      •     Return to School
      •     Pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
      •     Pass the Citizenship Exam
      •     Talk to your child's teachers
      •     Talk to your doctor
We offer the following services to enhance the lives of individuals in our community:
